How Much are Granite Countertops?
We receive this question quite a bit here at Emerald Granite Works. There are multiple factors which affect the final cost of a granite countertop, yet we also understand the benefits of purchasing quality granite countertops with equally excellent installation. Read on to discover how Emerald Granite Works is one of the best when it comes to sourcing the right granite for your home and providing superior customer service with our installation process.
Factors Which Affect Granite Countertops
Some of the major factors which typically affect the total cost of granite countertops consist of the manufacturer, the country of origin, the style, and the overall quality of the final product. Below, we’ll be explaining the aforementioned factors.
The Manufacturer
If you’re sourcing granite from a well-respected, high-quality manufacturer who cares about their customers; you’ll most likely find a higher price point. There are some manufacturers who set up their operation just to make a quick buck. These are the manufacturers we avoid here at Emerald Granite Works due to the fact we want our customers’ granite countertops to last as long as possible with quality and integrity throughout.
Country of Origin
Granite imported from China can have quality issues and will often contain higher than average levels of radiation emitting from it. This can pose an issue primarily due to the strict standards set forth by governing bodies which recommend a certain upwards limit of radiation within the granite industry and the granite being sold. India and Brazil typically have much lower levels of radiation when compared to Chinese granite.
Colors & Patterns
The rarer the color or pattern, the more likely it is to be expensive when compared to other granite options. Additionally, if a particular color or pattern of granite is trending for whatever reason, you can almost guarantee it will be higher-priced than the more traditional granite choices out there.
True Quality
When it comes down to it, quality granite will simply cost more than granite which is less focused on quality and more focused on quick profits. True quality granite is somewhat difficult to come by in an industry oversaturated with fly-by-night companies. Here at Emerald Granite Works, we take great pride in sourcing some of the highest quality granite and providing our customers with equally quality-driven customer service.
So, How Much Do Granite Countertops Cost?
